He had a limo, rode in the back.

These were so cool, the interior was fantastic, with that big aluminum V8. Now they are SO cheap - no one wants to touch them with a 10 foot pole. Terrible reputation. The closest I've come to one in the wild was at a downtown Boston street corner, red brick buildings. A bro whipped up and double-parked IN THE CROSSWALK. It was black, sounded great. He trotted off in his loafers and the alarm started going off, right next to us. We laughed out loud. Nobody had touched it.

When I was a teenager, the retired Cadillac mechanic across our alley had one of these 80's Quattroportes in his shop. Brand new. He had every door panel out, the dash, the seats, the carpet, the trunk liners...trying to find an impossible electrical short. That made an impression on me. It's brand new! The dealer couldn't figure it out? Yike.

The wiki tells me the Aston Martin Rapide S was an "executive saloon" designed in 2005 by Merek Reichman. A 4-door sports car. Produced from 2010 to 2020. Mostly aluminum. The front section and drivetrain came from the DB9. Rear tires 295/35ZR20 - try to get those at Costco! 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system with tweeters that rise up from the dash. 6-liter aluminum V-12 with 550 hp. Top speed 190 mph. Carbon ceramic brakes. Pretty much outrageous, but pretty cool.

^ I used to see those coupes in Seattle on occasion because that city had a wildly high proportion of millionaires, before the Rapide V8 was produced. I'm talking 2005-08 ish.

Any ideas on the 30's rumble seat car? It has wooden spokes...is that a decent clue?

I have never heard of nor seen this car ever. A perfect quiz car. It was a kit car, assemble it yourself. Came with a variety of engines over the run. It is a monocoque fiberglass chassis - how did they do that?

This is a 1930 Studebaker Commander 8 Victoria. "Mid-luxury" says the article.

The little fiberglass coupe is a Rochdale Olympic, a British assemble-it-yourself sporting coupe from the early 60's.

This rear 3/4 gives me super strong 60s Jaguar vibes.

Absent of body seams and dual rear keels, maybe they were envisioning an amphibious version in the future? The fender lines were stolen from a '62 Dodge Dart.
