Moin (traditional greeting from Hamburg),
the postman decided what was going to be changed first - the MAP Sensor.
So i changed it and tested all, no difference in driving or high idling the car.
Tomorrow or Friday the TB should arive and i'll report here.

Moin,
so the culprit was the TBM, changed it to a Bosch Unit (0 280 750 131), adapt it with VIDA and after short warming up, the engine stayed at one RPM in the Range for TÜV.
Thanks for the Help! Good thing i found this place.
Regards - Alex

I had issues with a throttle Body on an 02 XC70. Apparently they like to get dirty internally where the motor sits, over and above the usual issue of the throttle butterfly plate and surrounds. The other issue is the nylon gear that operate the flap can break up.
You can open the motor cover by removing the 4 or 6 metal clips with a flat screw driver.
Inside there is not much to get wrong but take a picture where the parts go and how they sit, or mark with a pen.
You can remove the motor. In the case of the 02 it was dry bearings in the motor. A couple of drops of light oil (3 in 1) and all was good again.
Glad you found the issue.
Neil.

The Error seems to be variating Potentiometer readings for Poti 1 and 2, after changing to a new one i couldn't see this error.
i need to to think for a way to bench test the TBM and if i can repair the old one.

now it's getting funky...on a hot engine im seeing the exakt same behaviour, the test yesterday was with a "semi-hot" like 80° coolant temp enginge.
tested it today after 10km of driving with around 97° coolant temp.
i checked the STFT that was 1.00, long Term idle -0.05%, so in my understanding nothing to worry about?
AFM goes down to 11-12kg/h idling hot.
Something in here is not happy and drives me crazy, the switching from C/L to O/L while revving is concerning me...
changed so far and confirmed "good"
- Coolant Temp sensor (original Volvo)
- upper O2 Sensor
- MAP Sensor (Hella)
- TBM (Bosch)
Since the engine is hot and my workshop too, i'll check for any vacuum leaks or else, also sceptical that there are any, since the STFT looks good.

The flexible coupler between the turbo and hard pipe in the rear of the engine does fail so flex it or remove and inspect, look for any cracks. Did you take a look at the o2 sensors as the rpms change? Here's a decent video of what the upstream and downstream sensors should and shouldn't look like.Hamburger wrote: ↑08 Nov 2024, 06:03 now it's getting funky...on a hot engine im seeing the exakt same behaviour, the test yesterday was with a "semi-hot" like 80° coolant temp enginge.

I checked the data according to your linked Video.
Looks like either the cat is Junk or the downstream Sensor.
I Hope it‘s the Sensor since there are no cat‘s avaiable at all, but my hope is fading away…

I marked this back to "unsolved". Catalytic converters are not available at all? "Blue box" or 3rd party? What about used?
