Two steps forward, one step back.

I got 8 tires mounted for my car, and my sisters car for the upcoming winter. Learned how to prep and balance tires which was fun. Got them mounted on my car and decided i would try to bleed the brakes. 1/4 success with a snapped brake bleeder at the front drivers. Oh well...

Got 2 cars rustproofed and a third half way done. Life gets nice and busy and things like to pull you in different directions :)

We've been told the weather is going to get cold in the next few days so my winter tyres are now fitted to allow me to give stranded SUV drivers a smug smile as I pass them...

If that is filthy, then goodness knows what my car is on that scale...........Pigpen makes my car look clean!

In my defense, it is against the local bylaws in Calgary to wash your car on your driveway or on the street outside. So you have to take it to a carwash to do that. Closest one to me is about 5 miles away.

Seriously? Is that a storm drain concern?

Yup. The drains go straight out into the rivers without any treatment so they don't want soap (even biodegradable) to go down the storm drains. It is laughable as they use salt on the roads and now a really aggressive salt de-icer on the roads that gets washed down the drains.
That is what is being said caused our main water pipe feeder to the city and surrounding towns to explode this summer. Our dumb city water planners like to run water pipes under the main roads. Not just down the side of the road but the middle of 3 lanes. All the road salt and ds-icer leaches through the asphalt and into the ground corroding the old metal pipes. Add vibration from semis rumbling up the roads and soft alluvial sand under the surface, I can't see why that is a problem............

The city roads people told me they never tested the affects of pouring the liquid death on the winter roads, but did say it eats through the rebar on the bridge decks............... :o

New (to me) airbox, fresh air pipe (w/nipple), blue and yellow vacuum lines. Now she starts twice as fast on the crank and saw my boost pressure peek up out of the negatives for the first time since i got her back on the road. Still got some loose ponies to corral, but we're gettin' there. Next i think is prop shaft, broken j hose replacement and getting rid of that pinched exhaust pipe.
