We have had this 2004 XC70 for about a year now (purchased as salvage title and we have been getting it back in shape. My wife loves this car!). Recently the hi beam switch on the column won't stay on hi. If you pull the switch back the hi beams will come on but it won't stay in that position. I have been looking for a replacement switch but no luck so far. Does anyone have a source for this part?
The other issue is that the car is sluggish when you press the accelerator. It picks up pretty well once it gets rolling but it hesitates at stop lights and other stops. Is this a common problem and if so, is there an easy fix or complicated?
Thanks!

The hi beam staying on is a function of the headlight switch position. If it’s not in the most clockwise position it will only flash the high beams.

I had a problem with the high-beam relay that is under the dash. My high beams would only work intermittently, but once they were on they wouldn't turn off themselves. Replacing the relay fixed the problem.
