does anyone do or know how to do a historic legend for their repairs and expenses?

Keep track of your Volvo's maintenance here. Keep track of what you did, when, and how much it cost.

I have a big folder of receipts from my 07 Xc70's previous owner.
I've tried going through it to figure out how much he's spent over the years and what has been done and I thought if I had a time scale or legend, such as we see for the evolution of cars, let's say, then I could better visualize all of this. Any suggestions?

A spread sheet like Excel could work. I use it for keeping track of all the spare parts and locations in my garage (over 1400 part numbers!).
It has helped me to reduce the time to find (if at all!) parts and if I still have them. Just have to remember to update as parts are moved on otherwise it takes another audit to recalibrate!
