Bleed door link arm

Good afternoon,
I have a 2003 xc70 I recently replaced the heater core and yes I broke the heat blend door link arm.
Any suggestions on how to replace it
Tips and tricks also should the HVAC system be in a specific mode when I attach the actuator

I went through this (breaking the linkage arm) a few yrs ago in my 2005 XC90...
