Hello Community,
i got my V70 a new Donor car to change the Engine.
I thought i was clever changing all the electric components too, because the ETM from the donor car was already upgraded by ecu.com.
Now i got a real problem because the donor car had DSTC and my V70 only STC.
Now ABS and everything is not working.
Is there a way to programm the CEM to use STC instead of DSTC? Or will i need to swap everything to make my V70 a DSTC Car?
Would be great if someone could help me out. Also willing to tip oder pay for any programmers.
Kind regards from Germany

Your most sure-fire way to do it hassle free is via VDASH(as long as it supports 2001 volvos). You will need a Mongoose JLR cable or a DiCE unit(sometimes other J2534 adapters will work too).
There is still the matter of the CEM pin, which I am not sure if VDASH can crack for you, so the only hassle is that one.

CEM cracker can't crack the brick shaped CEMs yet, so VDASH, who steal everything, can't either.dikidera wrote: ↑19 Dec 2024, 04:11 Your most sure-fire way to do it hassle free is via VDASH(as long as it supports 2001 volvos). I have now contacted my volvo dealer, maybe it is possible to adapt all Software from ECU ETM CEM etc. to the VIN Number of the car.
Similar to when you had a water damage in your car and had to change all electronic parts. Looking forward to an answer yet.
Other option would be to change the rest so my "new" car also has DSTC then. A bit more work but definetly possible.
Thank you for your advice tho.
