Another Update seven (7) years later. The lubrication works perfectly.

A related note re P2 S60...I just did the same thing (blower motor lubrication) for my 2006 S60 that makes screeching noise when Cold, it is perfect now with a few drops of oil.

P2 S60 vs XC90:
- S60: 4 screws; XC90 5 screws
- S60: one needs to remove glovebox; XC90: no need to remove glovebox.

Otherwise, it is virtually identical procedure...
