+1 with Abscate on that. A weep can be eliminated with AT-205. Blue Devil also make a similar product I have used on oil leaks which worked well.

You mean using the fob to lift tailgate? That has never worked on my car since purchase.
I didn't know if such upgrade is possible br0dy519.
Tailgate Hatch Lift Support Shock no longer keeps the tailgate stay open; it is heavy to lift and comes down crashing. This is replacement part...

Installing is cuss-free after taking off the trims 2, 3, 12, 16, 21, 24, 25 and corresponding trims on the passenger side -- nothing cracked or broke off.

Our dog Brx (bricks) loves riding the cargo area, he appreciates restored tailgate!

I've had those panels off so many times fixing various tail light issues. Only issue is the brakeage of the trim clips #4. I bought a bag of this from a trim clip supplier in the UK. I think there was around 100 in the pack for less that $10 with shipping a few years ago.

I saved so much money doing my own repairs I don't need to work for the rest of the year.

Fixed my boneheaded mistake from a few months back. I had a small fender bender and replaced the passenger light. During this process i managed to mount the headlight sprayers upside down which meant the nozzles would not fit. Found some time in the cold and rain to pull the bumper and fix the issue. Now both headlight washers work perfectly.

I noticed that my washer fluid sensor has broken recently and does not read when the tank is empty. Will need to keep a bottle handy in my car.

Clips and fasteners used on our Volvos are engineering at its best; however, the electrical connectors can trigger emotions. I take precaution when using fingernails as a tool while disconnecting, it hurts later.

Happy New Year!

Greta got an oil change with Mobil 1 HM today as well as a tranny drain and fill with Volvo fluid. I also installed a new tailpipe, which no doubt adds at least 5 HP. Then the front bumper cover got a light polish and a coat of wax. I installed it a year ago after the accident but never treated it.

1st post of the year in this thread. I hope everyone had a good New Years day. I'm hoping this is my year to restore Scarlet my 96 850 turbo wagon. I've been saving the last 2 years to buy basically all new suspension, bushings and motor mount as well as a number of maintenance items. The plan is by summer she will be back on the road better than ever.
