2000 S70 GLT Timing Belt Tensioner Question

Post by melmaclifeform »

Hey all-

I've an inquiry regarding the timing belt tensioner as I prepare to do the timing belt and cam seal job on my car.

Given that it's cold out, and there are specific settings dependent on the temperature for where the tensioner should be, could I set the tensioner back to where the old one was?

I've read through the various documents regarding doing it, and I think this is the main question I have in doing it prior to spring.

Thanks!

It’s a non critical adjustment. Unless you are at Amundsen station , set it vertical with engine cold
