Vida supplier + computer

Post by scot850 »

Recently someone posted a link to a supplier who can supply software (Vidas + others) and a laptop for testing Volvos. For the life of me I cannot find the thread or link. Can anyone help? I think they were based in the US. Google does not seem to find them although I did look into a few weeks ago.

Thanks,

Neil.

I'll check into them for sure. Thanks for the heads up. My wife is upgrading her 7 year old laptop on Win11. Other than needing a new battery, it could work well with the Boots & Go SSD solution. I already have an unofficial Dice unit I've had for years and works well.

Worth checking out anyway all the same.

Thanks.

I needed to add RAM to my notebook, it had 2 mb but vida kept stalling.
It runs good with 4mb now , boot&go.

Good news. I think her laptop has 8GB (not megabytes?) of RAM. That should work. First though need to get that battery. Apparently to try to buy an OE battery from Acer requires being able to spend hours dealing with ordering systems that don't work, inaccessible parts suppliers including the official supplier!! Sure you can buy and aftermarket one, but these days with so many Lithium battery fires do you take a chance? Sure OE is not 100% guaranteed wither but maybe (I do mean maybe) more quality control!
