where should this plug in? 2004 XC70

I just got my car back from the mechanic and noticed a plug laying loose. Where should this go? The mechanic won't be open until monday so it would be great if we can figure this out before hand!

Onto the side of the AC compressor. If you look at your 2nd picture, and look straight down from the connector you can see a little shiny metal pin that looks like it is at the side of the lower part of the alternator.
