S40 2012- 2.0 diesel - not enough power

Post by eitankon »

Hello all.

I have a 2012 s40 2.0 diesel. was running ok .

Had an oil leak cause of a cracked oil carter .

When so the light , stopped immediately , and about 2 litter of oil was spilled where i stopped.

Fixed the carter and added oil.

Now , car does not have enough power .

No heating issue , car start perfectly , idle is ok.
Checked with scanner , and got an EGR fault.
Bought a used EGR , cleaned it and replaced the old one.

Someone told me , that when there not enough oil , first thing to fail is the turbo charger.
So checked values with scanner and got boost pressure value of 96 kPa at 2000-3000rpm.
Is this ok ?

Any idea will be very much appreciate , as my car is not used for more than half a year now cause of this error.

Best wishes,

Eitan

Hello all,

Just to let you know.

Turbo was replaced and so engine.

Only thing left to replace is the DPF sensor. Already ordered. It is relatively rare to find it (changed from certain body/vin)

Took lots of time to find the engine and body.

Hopefully it gets all fixed in a few weeks.

Eitan
