1948 Healey, claimed to be one of 17 built out of a much larger group of rolling chassis - something to do with a tax scheme. Brits are weird like that. A London Coachbuilder, Hobbs, who was apparently a pre-war Healey racer, liked shooting brakes, and saw a few woodies being built in the States.

Not a Guess-That-Car, since you probably already know it. But every time I see one of these things I have to show it to someone!
1937 Alfa Romeo 8C2900 "Corto" Touring Spider.
Chassis was derived from their Grand Prix cars. The high spec 2900 version of the Vittorio Jano-designed racing engine appeared in 1935. All aluminum, twin-cam straight 8 with two superchargers, rear transaxle, independent suspension, with bodies built by the best coachbuilders of the time. Maybe 40 were built, for either racing or road use. An aero coupe version won LeMans. This one was designed and built by Touring. They were the supercars of the age.
1938 LeMans - this car was dark racing maroon

Kind of a trick - that's a Jaguar XK-150 rebodied by Zagato. Who knew?
I can't comment on those curious bumper ends....
