06 V50 D5, LHS driveshaft seal dimensions

Hi,

I have an 06 V50 D5 with the 5 speed aisin warner automatic gearbox.

I was attempting to replace the LHS driveshaft seal, but noticed that the replacement seal had an ID of 40mm but the one fitted is 30mm. OD looks correct.

The part I have should be equivalent to volvo 6843112 which is what came up for my VIN using VIDA, and the 40mm ID agrees with data from other manufacturers like corteco.

So I guess the possibilities are that either the OEMs are all wrong and volvo 6843112 actually has a 30mm ID (63 mm OD) or at some point a different inner driveshaft joint and seal have been fitted (different year/model??)

I can't seem to find any driveshaft seals listed with a 63mm OD and 30mm ID.

Does anyone have a genuine 6843112 they could check or have come across this issue before.
