No flashes at diagnostic port A7. '92 Volvo 850 GLT

I swapped a P80 V70 cluster in my car, but the board computer is in imperial. Tried pressing both the hour and minute button; but that only switches the temperature from Fahrenheit to Celsius.

Tried reprogramming it at the diagnostic port but I don't get any flashes at the A7 position?

I am completely lost, any help is appreciated.

V70 instrument cluster will not communicate with obdI because it's fully obdII and it's in 850.

Some wiring and path are different between 850 & v70 cluster.

I want to convert the board computer measurements from miles to kilometers. MPG to L/100km etc.

Well...you will need to be able to communicate with COMBI(cluster).

Since you installed a 70 series cluster into a early 850...that will not work because the car is not recognizing it.

I have no immediate access to a repair kit for the odometer gears, and we (my dad and I) just rebuilt this car. And I am extreme impatient to drive it, that is why we put this one in for now.
