Software updates... Which ones to get?

Post by leapdragon »

Hi all,

So I'm sitting on a currently active VIDA 3-day subscription that I really bought to run a TCM software upgrade (already done).

But as I'm doing that, there is a long list of other software upgrades, or a "complete" upgrade spanning 12 modules...

I don't know if I'm inclined to just upgrade everything if things aren't broken (call me software paranoid) but are there any other module upgrades that really make a big difference and I should consider while I have VIDA active?

Worked on my XC70. Bricked wife's XC60. "Yeah, that happens with VIDA" dealer's mechanic said.

Yeah it happens. When I bricked my ETM you saw the lengths to which I went to get it working again xD

Make sure you have the latest software for the EVAP leak detection pump. Also do the siren delete software before it becomes an issue.

Much of my time during the job is spent hauling things up and down the stairs to the basement or in and out of the storage shed, or running back downstairs when I realize I need something else,or taking a break from standing out in the sun,or using flashlights or work lamps when it gets dark.
