Re: Parts brands - OE Volvo, trusted aftermarket, and bad
So FCP came through on my latest order. It got to me in three days, but that included a day wasted at USPS since I have to go there to pick up boxes. Two thumbs up !

But then there is this. A 12" x 9" x 7" box that I had to go to the post office to pick up, that had 2 o-rings in it.
They are absolutely nuts !

We can do that but a business can’t ship merchandise in a “ letter” ' technically. One would think a small cardboard envelope would make more sense.

I have just seen that the Nivomat shocks for the XCs are now discontinued within the last year or two and not in stock anywhere. Clicking on the "buy again" button on FCP orders only to be taken to an error screen is now a common occurrence.

ATE will be fine, it is OE manufacturer for Volvo
9441116 is probably the one you are after. It can be cleaned and refurbished, too, if you want to swap time for shiekels
Once you spend an hour searching brake booster sensor repair, you can appreciate how that part number search will pop it up in a second

RE complete front axle assemblies -
These are both new not remanufactured.
What do we all think of a TRQ axle from 1AAuto, who produce good common sense DIY repair videos.

Then keep my original GKN axle, rebuild with new joints in anticipation of replacing said low-cost axle when the time comes.

I have never had a problem with aftermarket axles but have opted to redo the outer joints just to save money in a few cases. If the axle is already clicking, it might be too late. I had an axle that had already worn divots in the retaining cage or whatever the official term for it is. No idea how long the car had been driving on the axle with a torn boot but I'm assuming it was an original axle with 120K miles on it.BlackBart wrote: ↑20 Apr 2025, 08:44 RE complete front axle assemblies -
