Well I'm hoping that I will be able to figure this out based on finding vacant hoses/ports.
I can't find that diagram on Volvowebparts even when I enter GR72362 which seems to be the page header. It would help to see what each part numbered actually is.

Figures. I pull up that part and diagram, and I want to know what parts 24 and 26 are, but they only tell you what parts 23, 25, and 28 are.
I have figured out where all of the hoses go, except for one open port on this part. Since I still don't have the top of the air filter box, maybe it connects to that. I'll get it sorted out.
On a plus note, I received the camshaft seal, so all of them are now installed.
Parts shipping score : FCP - Phoenix to my post office - 5 days.
Parts Geek - Phoenix to my door - 2 days.
I honestly used to get my parts quicker from FCP when they all shipped out of Connecticut.

Someone with a low pressure turbo, 1999 model year will have to chime in on that last hose.
The Kat had that, but she has a new owner
Karla has that, but she is in Albany

Decided to finish the day on something really really simple. How about putting in the oil filter, so I don't make the mistake of starting to add oil and wondering why it's taken 5qts, but nothing on the dipstick. This is my first cartridge type on a Volvo, and when I went to fit it, it seemed to bottom out by hand way before the o-ring would seal. Without the element the housing threaded on just fine.
Does this look right ?

You have to set that cartridge way up and into the engine so that the threaded cap bottoms out the threads or you will have a gusherSveedy wrote: ↑22 Apr 2025, 17:17 Decided to finish the day on something really really simple. It can take a nice firm push to get the cartridge up there

The HPT also has that part. Here are a couple of pictures from my 00 V70R:
From your original picture the short pipe should fit to the transmission end of the intake manifold and the ejector orientated this way with the wider end towards the rear of the car.
The curved pipe from the side of the ejector should face downwards and loop towards the front of the car and attach to the intake tube to the throttle body.
The rear facing outlet pipe runs to the rear of the car. I did not have tome to trace it but it should run to the brake booster.
Hope this helps.
Neil.
