500mm mirror lens! Is it a Nikkor? I don't think I've seen one ever, and I was around cameras all the time working at a camera shop 1994-1995.

It is Nikkor, old school. I might get my prize out this season, the 300 mm EDIF f2.8.

That’s a big hunk of glass. 300mm\2.8 ~ 100 mm open aperture …

For years I casually shopped for a classic Nikon 35 film camera, mostly for work. Then it became obvious that the next gen of digitals was really good, and not $5000 any longer. Now there are so many choices, and for me I'd bet the base model versions would be plenty.
