Rear brake caliper installation question.

Post by vibamoyu »

In the process of remove the rear break pads for a 1998 V70, I accidently damaged the rubber boot in the caliper and am now awaiting for a replacement to arrive. Since this would be the first time for me, I am looking for for any advise regarding the installation of the rear brake caliper.
Thanks in advance.

I am in the process of doing this now. If you are not comfortable with bleeding the brakes, I would put it together (maybe preload it if you can) and simply goto a quick midas place or your dealer to have them bleed the brakes for you.

You only have the 2 bolts holding the caliper in, so that is easy as you already know. The only concern is not to damage the brake line, then drive slowly to get em bled.
