Hello,
Thank you for your interest in my Volvo, his name is Nial.
I have owned Nial for two years and he is my third Volvo. I purchased him from my former boss, who was once one of the top Honda/Acura diagnosticians in the country. Our reasons for selling are actually the same; our better halves both think we had one car too many.
So, you're asking about a 2004 Volvo S60r. 209xxx miles. 300 horses. Turbocharged. All Wheel Drive. 6 speed manual transmission with space ball shifter. Brembo brakes. Dual zone climate controls. Leather. Heated front seats. Android Auto. CD. Spare tire. Stainless exhaust from IPD.
Maintenance was performed either by me or a shop, and was largely preventative. Most parts have been purchased from FCP Euro. All oil changes have been with Liqui Moly 5W-30 paired with a Mahle filter and new gasket. Timing belt, water pump and pulley service completed at 180k. The clutch was replaced just before my boss took ownership and has maybe 10k on it; still great!
2 keys
Clean title
All new coils and plugs
Complete coolant system replacement
New coil wiring harness
New tires driven <2000 miles
New driver side half shaft
New headlight ballasts
New HID bulbs
New fuel pump
New 4C suspension
New driver side window regulator clips
Rebuilt power steering cooler lines with triple-ply silicone hoses.
Replaced select PCV hoses with triple-ply silicone hoses.
Known issues.
Occasionally the outside temperature reading is wrong. I am fairly certain this is a faulty outside temp sensor. The alarm battery is nearing the end of it's life and will intermittently pop on to the malfunction display. Same with the stop light bulbs. The latter originates from the LED bulbs I have in the tail lights. The lights work fine, even when you're being yelled at. One fog light is inoperable. I have removed the headlight wiper blades. Center console lid is broken. Pen holder is also broken. Rear window tint is bubbling.
I have the engine covers and they will come with the car. I have them off to help keep the heat down in the engine compartment because it's hot in the South. Body, interior et. al. is in acceptable shape for a car old enough to go to a bar by himself.
The car is still as fast as a scalded cat and I'm sorry to be selling him.
I'm asking $6000 as-is, no tariffs!
I am located in Atlanta, Ga.

Nice to hear from you, Starbuck. Hope all is well. My better half is down in Hotlanta for business, I better not let her see this.

This is honestly one of the most entertaining car listings I’ve read in a while. Nial sounds like he’s been loved and looked after properly. For $5K with all that work done (and a 6-speed manual to boot), seems like a solid deal for someone into Volvos.

Agreed. For a manual R, a buyer can spend 3x to get one with lower miles or a perfect interior, etc., "perfect-ish". But this is a great spot to buy in and restore over the years for cheap. It looks to be about as good an entry point into a manual R as you can ask for. Or hey, just buy and drive as a DD'er.

Hiya Abscate! I think the wife definitely needs to meet Nial...perhaps with a big bow on his hood?
Thanks for the positive words, guys. I'd love for an enthusiast to pick him up and if it's someone from here, even better.

I didn't know we had that thread! I'll look for it after today's fleet oil change...including Nial. I can't, in good conscience, sell this car with him needing his oil changed soonish.
