You usually wont see it activate at 106c, because the fan is set to activate at 105c, in conjunction with the thermostat fully opening at 105c. The only time you will see it go above 105c is when using an automatic + driving uphill with many people and the automatic is generating a lot of heat. Such as ATF temp = 110c, coolant = 105c, uphill slow speed with no airflow etc, then you will see 106c temps, just as I did with my old damaged AW55.

In most other circumstances you will not see it go above 105c.

As for the engine fan, even on hot days mine hardly activates, ive had to check it in VIDA to confirm its still working.

I modified my cluster a few years ago with this OBD2 temp/speed TFT display that reads of the cars computer. the temp while driving sits around 90c but stop for any length of time and it goes up . i have the alarm set at 106c and have not had it activate even on 35c days

why restore it to original while it works perfectly fine tho?

also, shouldnt a fail fan be displayed on the messages?
