Decision time: should I get OEM or skandix park brake cables?

Need to replace the park brake cables.
Skandix inhouse parts fine or go with the original parts?
Interested in your experience. Thanks in advance

I don't know about the quality and fit of the Skandix part. I have not had a lot of luck with aftermarket parking brake cables. When Volvo cables were not available I did use a Febi Bilstein one about 2 years ago on an 850 base model and it fitted well with no issues.

I would hope the Skandix part would fit well as they have been around for a long time and would have had feed back if they were an issue I'm sure.

Neil, thank you for your view on this. I decided to go with the kinda pricy Volvo original part sold through skandix when I had read about length differences on aftermarket cables.
Volvo dealership advised that these cables are no longer available btw.

When I tried to buy the Volvo OE parts for the 850 about 1.5-2 years ago they were on back order with a lead time of at least 8 weeks.
That was why I went with the Febi brand. Perhaps some of the non-Volvo dealers like Skandix and FCP have old stock?
GCP.se who supply classic parts to Volvo have none.
