Definitive test of the PEM requires an oscilloscope and waveform study to make sure it is correct. Actual waveforms are in the XC90 forum in a thread by user shockwave

PEM didn't fix this. I am watching this video.
I do have a fuel pump and fuel pressure sensor on the way for the weekend
The previous owner put in a cheap fuel pump from rock auto, and most likely didn't replace the o-rings to the tank and sending unit.
Where do you guys get the o-rings? FCP euro didn't have them.
Thanks in advance for the help

Ok cool. Yes I got those ..paid a little more on Amazon, but they are here!
I replaced the fuel pressure sensor..the previous owner had the wrong one installed.
Still getting p0089.
So fuel pump this weekend. I think I got all the parts... Bosch fuel pump. O-rings. Synthetic grease.
I have to find a long wire to pull the control wires from one side of the fuel tank to the other opening.
Also I read that the pump has to be installed carefully so that the fuel lines don't get twisted.
Any other tips? Hopefully this fixes the 0089
Thanks!
Big Al

By the way I'm thinking about checking the fuel pump relay. Have you guys had any issues with that relay? The funny thing is the car will run and very very rarely shows any signs of fuel starvation. But I'm still getting the p0089 code. Do you think it could be that fuel pump relay?

Ok so I am trying. Everything was going well until ....
Trying to get the wires from one fuel tank opening. To the other. For the fuel pump to the fuel pump level sensor.
Friggg
Would not pull thru
So, I am getting a solid core wire , bending it into a u shape and trying again.
Slowing me down by 2 hrs I had everything ready to go.
Anyone else have this much trouble with feeding the wires from one end to the other?
Sorry about my vague typing I have fuel vapors in my brain right now friggg
