We are in the process of replacing the steering rack on a 2008 S60 2.5T. The current rack is without variable assist and with the clamp line fitting, so the lines have a plate holding them on and don't appear to be threaded in. We have been told that there is a service bulletin making the non-variable assist racks with the threaded line fittings interchangeable. Before we get everything torn apart, I wanted to check and see if anyone had any info on this, and if there are any extra parts or instructions we might need.
Thanks for any help and advice!

I saw a video where guy upgraded the rack only to find he had to upgrade the PS pump too because the fittings are different.
The parts dept in volvo dealerships are a great source of information for me, thats who I'd talk to, it don't cost asnything.

Ah yes, the completely useless bolt. It's not needed unless you have specific vibrations or sounds from the exhaust. I opted to not reinstall it when I just replaced my sway bar.
