With respect to foggy, who has probably bought 100+ cars from Capital over the years, I’ve changed to the title to

How to buy a $2500 Volvo ( and 33.7% of the time get a parts car)

Capital is not a place where you drive away for $100, or even $1000

My strategy is to look for the 100,000 mile decent body and interiors that I can make a decent runner for someone, if I add up time and materials spent, there is no profit to be made.

My sample size is only 2 3

Shipping from DC location to NC use to be $299 a couple of years ago and now it's around $450. That eats into the overall cost for sure. The other locations are around $600 and $1000 to NC.

Instant Buy $400 plus Fees $617.70.
2004 S80 2.9L I-6 EFI DOHC
Excellent interior and exterior, tires looks good also.
If you can pick up it's an awesome deal. These are great cruisers!

For any V70 T5 fans, here is a 2001 V70 T5 on the Capital Auto Auction site (https://www.capitalautoauction.com/inve ... 2c6b164549). That's pretty low mileage for a 2001. Wish they still made these!

The Capital Auto Auction website also includes additional exterior and interior views of the 2001 V70 T5. The site has a calculator tab that allows you to estimate the delivery charge if you are unable to pick up the car in Philadelphia yourself.

I just saw that the 2001 V70 T5 with 80,500 miles has been relisted on the Capital Auto Auction site (auction date: Saturday, Sep. 19, 4PM EDT).
