Hi folks,
So BACKSTORY first- I buy buy volvos off marketplace wherever fix whatever problem they have sell them.
I bought this c70 off a guy in Atlanta, top worked fine when I got it. Headliner had been mashed a few times but still the open/ closing sequence worked flawlessly.
One of hydraulic lines #66 got nicked. I believe I did it, when I was putting the front section headliner back in it- the metal bracket that fastens to the front roof section, must have pinched it. Never leaked until the Mexican exchange student who bought it decided to put the top back up for the drive home.
Eventually got the new line in from Lithuania, top seems to be off. It was never perfect but first few opens were okay, with some weird noises near the end of the cycle.
I believe I must have... threw something off while I was propping it up. I've worked on ...enough cars, but this is only my second convertible...and the first was a ragtop Saab.
When I open the top, the front section hits the rear section with the glass. it's like the glass /rear section is not raising itself up high enough. Then if I assist it, the rear section scrubs the trunk lid. Everything is Fubard.
I've made sure it has enough fluid. Bought overpriced pentosin stuff for it. I've reset the convertible top module. I've tried doing the calibration through vida and also through an autel maxi scan tool.it either stops midway, or tries to suicide itself by continuing to put pressure.
SO- this post, i'm writing up because the Vida instructions, I have no idea what in the hell is being said. The whole hieroglyphic instructions have me scratching my head.
For example, if you look at the instructions on page 3- on picture pane 4 it shows a nut with 4 arrows drawn towards the middle.. what does THAT mean? then page 4 pane 3- an arrow making a circle. Go 180 degrees? make sure something is centered? don't pass go and go directly to jail?
This is a sell car, I want to get this done, I thought once I had the new hose on it would be gone fast, but I don't want to start moving things around.
Help me Obi Wan Kenobi , you're my only hope.

Hello Jonesroad. Did you find an answer to the above question. At this time I may have the same problem. Window not lining up and not proper closing of the trunk.
