Hi All,

I'm a long time Volvo owner with a lot of mechanical experience.

I've a P3 XC70 (LHD, Manual, D5) which I love - apart from the EPB, which I do not like... I just can't get along with it.

Worse still, it's started throwing errors. I've already swapped the actuators and reset it (several times). But, it's getting more frequent.
There are no mechanical issues so, I strongly suspect the module is going bad :-(

Before I start investing in INPA and a new module, I'm looking at other options - including 'converting' to a manual handbrake.

I *imagine* this would be a case of buying calipers, cables, lever and centre console from another model with a proper handbrake (perhaps a P2 V70?) then spending some time making it work..... (and yeah, I know, it'll be a pain and I'll have to somehow "code out" the EPB to stop it throwing codes and making the car go into limp mode.... this could be the biggest issue for me!).

Anyway - was wondering if anyone else had tried this already - or have any knowledge which may help (eg, suitable 'donor' car, interchangeability between models, or even good parts diagrams etc)

Thanks in Advance
Marko
