Oil Filter brand - Mann still #1?

The tighter inner diameter is a common feature on the Mahle filters, I saw that on Volvo filters but also BMW F10 and E46 filters.
Personally I don't like it because it takes a lot of force to install and remove them and I don't see the point. Where should they go?

That doesn't make them bad filters and there's nothing wrong with it, it's just a personal preference.

Just received an order of misc parts from Rock Auto. I have used the CARQUEST R84021 / WIX filter on the 00 S70 SE NA previously. The Protec that just arrived at $2.03 each looks the same and is Made In Poland. For P80 and many most P2's.

Volvo filter removed on first oil change. Never seen a filter that broken up.

CARQUEST R84021 filter installed on first oil change though it was purchased from Advance Auto. eBay for reference. I like this filter as it has an O-Ring on the inner return hole.
