Been a mix for me. I've gotten 6 auction cars, and I've only replaced the tires on the 850. I need to replace the tires on the Focus.... treads not bad, age is fine, but the cheap tires are horrible in the winter. The S70 had Pirellis that were starting to crack, but otherwise did fine. My Cadillac came with decent tires, but I swapped in wheels/tires from another car because I found a good deal on another factory rim design that I liked. My Mercedes has pretty old tires, but they're holding up... it's mostly been sitting any way. The spare on the Mercedes is a full size tire from 1996bmdubya1198 wrote: ↑22 Aug 2025, 09:36 It's rare to get that lucky, especially on an auction car. My '04 Titan that I bought at Copart earlier this year came with brand new Michelins. Actually come to think of it, most cars I've picked up at auction have had nearly new tires on them. It seems people get new tires then wreck their cars.
Speaking of auction cars, today, I'm going to go look at a V12 Jaguar that I don't need.
