Simple answer is yes, but it took a bit to remember what it was. I thought it was a Jaguar S-type (XKE) special as a few were built on early wrecked cars and the rear haunches and knock-off/on wheels look Jaguar. But the Aston badge on the hood gave it away.

Add to that I get about 5 classic car magazines a month from the UK and been reading them for decades, even my memory occasionally remembers stuff. However, until maybe the last 10 years or so, not much content of the US cars was done. However, now more is being done to catch up on that. Today I was reading of a Cadillac Brougham from 57/58 which is an awesome looking beast with some advanced stuff ahead of many others like auto headlight dipping. They were had built too by GM.

It even had 4 door but looked like a coupe. The rear doors were suicide doors.

Amazing!

That Cadillac was quite a car, and enormously expensive. Brushed stainless roof, air suspension, forged wheels, smaller than any Cadillac of the era.

My stack of old mags to sort are Octane magazine. They're nicely made, great photography, good writers, and the ads and auctions in the back are outrageous. Just read a nice piece on four Austin-Healey 100's, including a rare original aluminum-bodied 100S. Quite fast, way lighter than a 6, and 50-50 weight distribution compared to the 6's 65% front.

So sorry I forgot to come back to answer this one -

It’s a 1938 Graham Model 97. I’ve never seen it before. In an old magazine article.

'59 El Camino.......basically an Impala with a place for your dog, In about 1965 the Impala based El Camino became a Chevelle with a place for your dog.

Not to be left out of the odd car market, Ford came up with the Ranchero in 1957, later based on a Torino, with fake lumber it looks more like a Chris Craft.

Were the side skirts in that '59 factory? Or fabricated?
