I'm looking to replace the muffler on my 96 850 turbo wagon. When I bought it, there was no muffler and it's been getting pretty annoying. It's been hard to find one specifically for the turbo, buy I have found multiple places that have the n/a muffler for somewhat cheaper. They both look the same, but the pictures aren't the best and are just stock diagram photos. Does anyone know if these are interchangeable? I would hate to buy the n/a muffler and have it not fit

I’m pretty sure the downpipes and muffler are larger diameter on the turbo models

Thanks Abscate, just placed my order for the turbo muffler. If anyone else needs, pelican parts had a few left in stock. It looks like it's been discontinued

I always thought that they are the same between n/a & turbo.
At least...they look pretty much the same.

The part number on the Volvo dealer site I use lists then differently for turbo and NA cars. NA car version is still listed available.

The diameter of the exhaust and angle is different. The manifold-back piping on N/A vehicles is smaller diameter. Someone is selling a used Stainless Simmons exhaust for turbos on swedespeed.
