My cheap, little 'building in a box' arrived yesterday. The box was not damaged which is a really good start. I examined the components today. I think it will work OK, but I want to make better anchors than the design provisions.
I am still digging out the foundation, but needed to check the parts to confirm the footprint of the anchor points.
I talked to my electrician this week and my plan was mostly on track. The transfer switch may need to be bigger than I expected.

I have a poor man’s backup generator with a 2000 watt Honda. It automatically alerts me to power failures in my wife’s voice “ the powers out” but to have to connect it manually,

I isolated one breaker for fridge, freezer, heater, kitchen outlet, Internet, and cold water heater so the generator powers the essentials. I put ina manual 30 amp isolation switch just off the panel to isolate that circuit from the mains

blew out ten hundred trillion Baking Soda protons
I hate to be pedantic but we do have SI standards to keep here.

If you blew out 8 grams of bicarbonate that’s 6E22 molecules, or 60 sextillion molecules.

Now there are 48 protons in each molecule, so now you have almost 3 Septillion protons.

Relativistic corrections are left to the student.

In my defense, I only studied Baking Soda protons in middle school in the 80s, and at that time not much was known about them. We had 600 page Franco-Prussian Baking Soda proton textbooks which were, in retrospect, inaccurate.

In your real world household, does the 2000 watt keep everything running or do you have to manually connect and disconnect?

2000 watts will run fridge, freezer. On demand heat/hot water ( gas fired) , and probably another k watt or so of load. We would charge iPhones until the power came back

Got my big winter project 90% done.

Cut and demoed off the decking on our bedroom deck , behind house. Replaced and rebooted posts, hung joists , built an inset stair case to replace the hang-on look of the old one.

Will outfit in a grey or warm brown Trex

About $600 8 hours in for framing
Another $500 for trex
Hole digging, worst part

Well a nasty list…

Close of crawl under deck joists
Close of crawl door
Hang10 foot gutter over deck
Dig a 36 inch deep drain hole and fill with stone
Paint upper story of apartment.

Collapse!.

Nice sidewalk treatment. Did you use any weed barrier?
