Headlight interchange '07 S80, '08 XC70

While visiting a boneyard today, looking for a piece for my '08 XC70, I came across a '07 S80 with headlights that appeared new. The price is irresistible, but can they be made to fit my my '08 XC70? I have searched through a few online catalogs, no help on interchange.

I think they are both P3 chassis so should work?

Do you have to code the lights at this age? You may have to swap over the control units from old to new.

They are both P3. The boneyard is going out of business and headlights are $10.00 each, what do I have to lose. My concern was wasting time. In my internet research I find that the '07 unit carries a different part number . Those that offer interchange information, such as Rock Auto, indicate 2007 only. That could result from a simple cosmetic difference.

Faust…I use the Volvo online parts store, which has official Volvo exploded parts diagrams. Punch in the two models, and part numbers and fitment should answer that for you.
