S70 Turbo Contactless ETM Needed Topic is solved

Hello,

I am in fairly desperate need of an updated I believe it is the white label ETM(contactless) for my 1999 S70 GLT Turbo
After many guess as to the issue the ETM light is now fully on and limp home mode engaged all the time.
The most I can get is about 40mph on a flat road.
I can not afford a rebuild right now and I have read here and other forums that an updated model for the Turbo
should be able to slot in without reprogramming.

The closest salvage yard to me fin Pa with a donor is about an hour away and I don't think it would be wise to try and make the trip
in my car- only transportation.

If anyone has a unit that would work I would be eager to discuss payment and shipping.
The salvage yard listed what I need for around 50.00 and I know that is a steal so I don't want to insult anyone but I truly
don't have a lot of money right now. I just moved from Maine and the savings are kind of wiped out.

Ive got a ETM coding for sensor one but still drives my S70 AWD with gusto.I would send it for free but I need to go overseas for two weeks and dont think I can get to it until end of October earliest. Robert might be back before then and could help, on my dime.

Unit in question is a 1998w 37 so would probably get you a year or so to save your sheikels

There are used yellow body ones on ebay in the $150-200 range right now. It is better long term to save for the newest white label contactless type - see ETM room below

I may just end up taking you up on it.
I am trying to figure out a way to get to this yard about 2 hours away because I was able to confirm
that they have an ETM Part# 36050563 which I think is the upgrade? for 50.00
If I can't manage to get there before you return your offer could really save the day.
I couldn't even find another white label anywhere around here or even yellow.
I will keep you posted.

No, sorry I was unclear. I have several LPT engine ETM's. No late white label contactless. I have, I believe the older white and yellow label versions. I usually pulled them from crashed or damaged cars on the theory they were running when crashed! I don't have a 99-00 LPT P80 to test them on so they are of unknown condition.

There are a bunch on eBay in the $150 range. 2 hours of driving x2 is going to cost a good chunk of that.

Smart of you to grab them when you did- they seem to be very hard to find anywhere here of any iteration.
Genius of Volvo to use the white label twice.

I believe the correct part number for the white label contactless is- 36050563 ?

If so- this salvage yard is selling it for 50.00

The trick is getting there for me right now.
