I can truly understand the wish not to replace the shocks. Fronts are mostly typical fronts and the pain that go with them. The bigger issue is the sensors are no longer available should one go bad or you break one. Back is a pain. Hard enough with the standard shocks.

Lets not forget the horrible price. They average about $1000 + CDN in Canada now.

I thought those shocks were still $350-400 USD down here? Is there a Provincial Premium??

$300 for a 4C shock ($200 for a 4C strut) in the US but the shocks are getting scarce.

I was offered a 06 V70R in Magic Blue. Has had a lot of recent maintenance including new 4-C struts/shocks all around!

That is the 'discounted' price for 4-C struts for the 06 XC70. If someone can point me to the $300 US options then please do.
