Thanks!
This came as a kit, Aluminium Side Scuff Plate - 30730004
I had chance for sure and most of the clips were unbroken, i fixed three of the eight clips.
Unfortunately I did not took pictures of the P/N inside the side scuff plates.

Dropped my BCM due to an electrical fault causing an evil burningsmell. It’s a Xmodex rebuild so I’ll get a RMA going, hopefully get it shipped before I head to airport

finally replaced the parking brake hardware (PPS parking brake rebuild kit) + bosch quietcast rotors and pads. left side went well, but right side had a few things of note- the aligning springs that hold the brake shoes flush are holding onto damaged tabs. they havent come off in my use of my (now newly functional) parking brake, and no weird sounds like before on my rusty shoes + rotors.

i was able to fit the new pads just fine in the left side caliper and onto the rotor, but the right side's caliper gave me more trouble. even when i depressed the actuated pad as much as possible, the gap between the pads was not wide enough to get over the rotor. i had to use my old pads (which still had plenty of meat on them, just semi-metallic instead of ceramic). no uneven braking or weird sounds either, and i've been driving on them for about a week now. bedded them and the parking brake shoes according to VIDA.

i have the fronts to do next, (i ran out of daylight working on the rears, and i have very little time between university and work) and they'll be WAY faster to put on than the rears, since there's no drum brake crap on the front wheels, thank god. if 18 years of rust is this bad on an '07, i can't imagine how bad working on a car with drums in all corners from the '70s is.

i also happened to get a lot of brake dust on my partner's clothes, and i was thinking Borax would be best to get the stains out. unfortunately, i already attempted to wash them with hot water, so i might be out of luck-- but I have to try!

Same issue on my dust shield backing plates, both of them are damaged, one completely ripped through. Yours was obviously salvageable?
I'm struggling to try and justify actually replacing these dust shields which are a PITA and require removal of the wheel bearing it appears.

yeah, not fully ripped through, but one side was pulled off of the dust shield for both top and bottom tabs. not only are they a PITA to replace, but also 10x more expensive from Volvo than the fronts.

also for my front brake job, i got a brand new front left dust cover replacement for ~$12 on FCP Euro supplied by Volvo, as the one on Pyxie right now is missing a chunk and was making squeaks when i turned to the right. I bent it out of the way by hand the same day i did the rear brake job; a fine temporary fix IMO. i think the rear dust covers are over $110. besides being attached to the hubs and having spring retainer tabs, why is it so much more expensive???

Not sure but there are alternatives. I found PPS versions for around $45CDN on RockAuto.

Shoe delaminating, cables failing, dust shields breaking, and by far my all-time favourite failure: the support block. https://www.skandix.de/en/spare-parts/b ... e/1021835/

I deleted my parking brake years ago and never bothered to fix it (flat area).

Installed a spoiler wing on the XC. I found this in an autowrecker for $30 and had to paint it Lava Sand before installation.
