WTB Brake pressure sensor P80 1996 850 9173210 NLA (abscate has one 11-2025)

The current owner of one my old beater 96 850 reports it has a leaky brake pressure sensor. A shop told him "when you push the pedal, the sensor leaks" and that replacing the sensor would fix it but they can't source one. This part screws into the master cylinder.

One shop came up with 9173210 which does bring up some uber cheap aftermarket parts on sites like amazon but I'm not finding anything from reputable sources. Anyway, I thought he'd probably be well served with a junkyard part if he can find it. I've not seen one of these sensors fail otherwise.

I think the correct is limited to 96-98 P80 cars. The pressure sensor on my 95 850 is different, it screws into the booster not the master cylinder.

Anybody have one?

I did part out a1998 and have the master cylinder, but it might be upstate.

There is a 96 850 and a 98 V70 in the local junkyards. If Abscate has no luck I will drop down there and see if there is one that needs rescuing. As I now know they are NLA, it is worth keeping one on the shelf for others.

Currently steering my buddy to junkyards and the like. The car is in Oregon but his local junkyard didn't have one. We found a couple master cylinders on eBay that still have the sensor screwed in, may have to go that way.

I don't know that I've ever heard of one fail before but these P80 cars are getting pretty old ... worth keeping on the shelf, too!

He bought a master cylinder with sensor from eBay. Pending successful installation at the sho, shouldn't need the sensor at this time.
