Re: Problem 2006 XC70 High Speed CAN faulty

HI. It happened all of a sudden. Fixing the faulty connector didn't solve the issue. Although network maintains healthy 60 ohms all high speed modules fail to talk. I started to disconnect them one by one to see which one is cluttering the bus. Once I disconnect the SWM (steering wheel module, the one that resided behind the steering wheel) all the other modules are able to communicate. The car won't start however as key fob signal is missing and immo kick in. There is a green connector that has 2 yellow supplies, one red, ground and 2 wires for CAN. One of the yellow power supply is constant 12V the other one is intermittent 12V. I don't know if that is how it supposed to be. Also the can low has absolutely no signal (constant 0V which I believe is not within spec). I suspect that the wire loom is prob. faulty.

I talked to some Volvo mechanic who pointed to the faulty cluster but I find it hard for the DIM to have anything to do with high speed part of the network.
