Oil leaking on 2004 volvo c70 LPT

@ CIK7 this is exactly what I saw sometime back when I was changing the plugs. I never realized it was that and thought maybe it was in error from the prior owner.

Once I finished plugs I watched for oil and saw some more going up. Bought a new cap today and through it on. havent seen any more oil after cleanig it all above and below with brake cleaner.

will still look and monitor .

@vova - I did exactly this, all seems good. will update you guys tomorrow once i drive it further for work. always appreciative of the responses I get here!

It is a job you can screw up three ways..

1. Bad cheap part. Volvo or Corteco only

2 incorrect seating depth into head

3 neglecting VVT wear which will not seal on the new seal

Number 1 is most likely, if the parts come from eBay, AZ, or the jungle they are probably junk.
