I had XeModeX rebuild my Magnelli ETM over a decade and 100k miles ago. I recently starting having symptoms of a similar failure - rough idle. ETM test showed very intermittent dithering. I suspected wiring and, through various checks, eventually had bypassed all original wiring w/ temporary jumper leads. The dithering persisted. I sent the ETM back to XeModeX under their lifetime warranty. They tested it for 48hrs without fault, but offered to send it back through the rebuild process. When I received the freshly re-rebuilt ETM, it worked!
In short - my ETM lasted ~100k miles, but XeModeX stood behind their warranty. It was about a week (I opted for the cheaper, slower shipping) turnaround, but other than the cost of shipping it was all covered!
