You are correct on the helicopter side. They started building the helicopters shortly after WWII under license from Sikorsky.

I think this is too weird to be a guesser.

It’s a 1952 Pegaso Z-102 Berlineta (one t) ENASA Cupula. It’s Spanish. Made by a company that mostly built trucks and busses. Even though it’s left hand drive, the gearbox is backwards - 1st & reverse are over on the right. No synchromesh. Rear transaxle with the gearbox behind the diff. Steel body. 2.8 liter, 250hp, desmodromic 32 valve V-8. Quite fast.

The first owner, the President of the Dominican Republic, bought it off the stand at the New York City Automobile show. He was assassinated in 1961.

Took me a bit as I have seen pictures of this car not too long ago. It initially looked like a mid-1950's Fiat 8V Ghia Supersonic but all the embellishments, especially to the front were wrong. You answered this one too quickly for me! The badge on the RHS of the hood looked familiar and then the Pegaso badge came to mind! A short video of the car below:

Crazy looking car. Was that a 1/1 or did they make a few? I would have said Italian, but that would have been based on that parking garage more than the car. It reminds me of the Fiat factory with the test track on the roof.

250hp is a ton for 1952.

I also thought that might be the Fiat factory with the test track on the roof. That is what threw me initially. 'Interesting' is all I'll say to the aesthetics on the car............
