there's two in the cowl at the base of the windshield, this was the passenger side.Blacklab467 wrote: ↑21 Dec 2025, 06:50 Can you give some more detail on where that drain is please, I can't visualize it.
if it helps visualize, i am squatting in the engine bay where the engine normally is. but mine currently is not
on either side of the cowl theres a spot where it dips in, i've noticed it likes to collect leaves, nuts, whatever is falling from the sky, this is where the passenger side exits
this should help

Are you sure those are Swedish clogs? Look more Dutch to me. So DAF, not Volvo.

Ditto on that block being a bad idea. If you religiously stay out from under, ok in an emergency ,, but we old guts don’t ever use them…that’s why we are old. Cribbing 4x4 is much safer. Lumber in compression with out point loads ( like jack saddles :8 ) is safer, jack stands best, with a wheel under for safety

no.. jack only. it's supported along the pinch weld with magnetic pinch weld blocks sitting on jack stands, sitting on custom welded sleds, sitting on enough pavers to raise the car to lower out the subframe.. i'm not doing any work under the car, but it's supported on both reinforced pinch welds, on both sides, then 2 spots on the rear subframe and the tow bar for good measure
