Hello - I have a 2005 V50, manual 5 speed, 118,000 miles, and I love it, but it has an intermittent problem that replacing the gas pedal sensor has not fixed - it goes into low power mode, and turning the car off & then back on clears the problem.

360 days ago the sensor was replaced, codes cleared & all was fine; now the problem is back & my very nice mechanic can't seem to fix it. He test drove it with no trouble, checked the throttle system, and gave it back to me on Friday. Now it's Sunday & the problem has recurred.
Thoughts?

Just a real stab in the dark here, but maybe it's not the gas pedal module but the wiring to/from it, close to the module. So replacement of the module temporarily 'fixed' the wiring issue, but not really. Codes would be helpful too.

Was it diagnosed to have a bad sensor? You need to get the codes and put em in this thread if you want more help. Codes preferably pulled using a volvo scanner and not a generic OBD2 reader, even though it's better than nothing.

Here's the code: ECM 9400 Accelerator Pedal Digital Signal. Read off a 1999 Vida diagnostic tool.
Many thanks for the two replies!

Did you ever figure this out? I'm having the same issue and any info you can provide would be appreciated.
