Now that is a great front to a car. I think the Rover enthusiasts called that the 'federalized' P6. It was by far the best front of the variants.

1933 Hispano-Suiza J12 Cabriolet. Coachwork by Vanvooren. Formally of the now sadly closed Mullin Museum in California.

Wow, what a car, and that hood ornament is out of this world!

Wow, you're good! TWO chicken dinners to Neil!

A company famous for it's WWI aeroplane engines. This V12 is something like 9 1/2 liters!
"At 100 miles per hour, you couldn't even tell the engine was on."

That's probably because there was so much wind noise!

There's quite a lot of European political history involved with these cars. Pablo Picasso had one. About 120 J12's were sold over 7 years, including 8 of this Drophead Roadster. They survived much of the Depression with aero engine work.

I gave it a few days to see if anyone else was having a go at identifying this beauty. I knew who made it as they made several similarly shaped cars to this in the early 1950's for different manufacturer's. I just couldn't initially place this specific variant.

However............

1953 Abarth 1100 Sport by Ghia.

That was a tough one!

Thanks for doing this challenge!

You’re good. Are you reporting all your quiz winnings to the Canadian tax authorities?
