Can 99 C70 seats be fitted to an 97 850 AWD wagon?

My mechanic buddy is obsessing over a pair of 99 C70 seats he has come across in a coupe that is being parted out. He says the seats are absolutely mint. While he is an ex-Volvo mechanic he did not really work on these P80's too much, other than his 850.

I explained about the mechanical (-98) v's electrical airbag actuation. Also that the heated seats are not wired the same way. Being power seats I can't recall now how different the bases are. I seem to recall they were not too dissimilar for the seat power, and I think I also recall the heated seats could be modified to probably work too. It is the airbag firing I don't know much about.

I think I recall the mechanical seat firing is operated from the seat control unit. Could it be as simple as swapping those over?

Pop the window switch actuator up on the C70 and look for the red button of death that triggers the SIPs

I recall the c70 didn’t get electrical SIPSuntil the makeover in 05…unverified Fake Social post for now

Window or seat actuator panel on the side of the seat? It would be great if the mechanical actuators were left until the 05 P1 version!
