2006 XC90 Steering Coupler

Post by cuhfs2 »

Hello,

Trying to replace the lower coupler (under the rubber boot) on a 2006 XC90 (see part #7 on schematic below. I was expecting to see pinch bolt under the dash to release the column shaft so I can thereafter remove the coupler off the shaft. Any help identifying how to R&R lower .steering coupler off the shaft is appreciated.

Closing this thread. Steering was stiff. Figured out it was the steering coupler. I needed dealer to do the work as I could not do it. Part and labor was about $700. Money well spent for a job i could not do. .
