Power steering hose...Really?

it was below zero last night but next saturday will be 40F. Then we will be into March. I'm in maine , up near Houlton.

or use a tubing cutter to cut the hard line 3 inches from the rubber and recrimp the junction or have a hose shop do it, tell them its for a tractor (not a car), compression fitting to repair the hard line. I might try this myself.
