Hi,
I'm looking for the code for the radio. Unfortunately, I've had no luck with calling the delearship. I've called up 3 diferent ones and iterestingly enough, they all gave me different codes, saddly all of them were incorect.
I know it's possible to dump the contents of the 3132 EEPROM chip and read code from the bin file, but I haven't found any info on how to do it. Does anyone know any resources on how to get about it?

Is the radio a factory reconditioned unit? I had issues with one of these as the repair shop that Volvo used changed the code when they repaired it for some reason. Took a bit of digging by one of the local parts guys at Volvo and eventually he got the correct one.
There should be no other reason the dealer can not get the code from the serial number stamped in on the case.
Neil.

As suggested, the other option is to look at a used one that comes with a code. You can fit any version from a P80 with exception of the SC-900/901 with the inbuilt 3-CD changer as they need an external amplifier.

Sorry for the late reply, i completely forgot i posted this
It is easier than i initialy thought. All you need is a 3€ board, a computer and a steady hand. I think I should be able to do it with the chip still on the board. Ill post the whole process after im done.

One of the delearships suggested it might have been changed by the previous owner, they said theres nothing they can do in that casescot850 wrote: ↑25 Feb 2026, 16:15 Is the radio a factory reconditioned unit? Its no harm if even damage it. The one i have is in really good condition so I'd rather keep it. I'll swap out the boards if I end up frying mine.
Something like that, every 4th column iirc.
